Chamupa started his journey in music #biz by helping artists with copyright-related issues, distribution, and publishing in 2019. He entered a thought-provoking industry, providing artists with knowledge about how things are happening internationally and systemically, which they had not previously seen. Chamupa is the Founder of airxone.co, one of the projects he started in 2019. He later continued as the former COO and co-founder of bonfire.lk, and as the former Senior Operations Lead at Serandip Music Group, which marked a significant turnover for the Sri Lankan music industry.
He has managed, consulted, and worked with a wide range of businesses and individuals in Sri Lanka related to digital music distribution, including artists and songwriters such as Thilina Ruhunage, Costa Maarley, Radeesh Vandebona, Ayeshmantha, Azim Ousman, Bibiladeniye Mahanama Thero, Hashen Dulanjana, and many more—over 300 artists locally and globally. He has also worked with companies such as Desawana Music, CrowMafia, Rubber Stamp Studios, and many others.
